Delivery Timeframes

  • Standard orders are delivered within 3–6 working days, unless the item is on back-order.

Once your payment has been received, we will contact you directly to arrange a suitable delivery time.

Important Notice Before Delivery

Please do not book cranes, equipment, or labour until your delivery date is confirmed, as we cannot take responsibility for any scheduling conflicts.

Deliveries Within the London M25 Area

  • All deliveries in the London M25 area are handled directly by our in-house delivery team to ensure the safe and secure arrival of your products.

  • As our drivers work solo and vehicles are pre-loaded at our warehouse, we ask that you or your builders be present onsite to assist with unloading.

Deliveries Outside the M25

  • For addresses outside the M25, we work with a trusted external courier network.

  • Once dispatched, the courier will contact you to schedule a delivery time.

Delivery Schedule

Deliveries are made:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

  • In rare cases, delivery may be delayed due to traffic up to 8:00 p.m.

While we can provide a 1–2 hour notice on the day of delivery, we unfortunately cannot guarantee an exact delivery time or specific timeslot.

Shipping Restrictions & Notes

  • Extra Economy Shipping is available across the UK excluding Northern Ireland and Scotland.

  • In some rare cases, if couriers do not have suitable vehicles to access your property, you may be asked to collect your order from a local depot (usually within a 20-minute drive).

Product Weight & Unloading Responsibility

Our products are heavy, ranging from 10kg to 280kg. Depending on your order, 2, 4, or even 6 people may be required to unload or handball safely.

In some cases the vehicle of the courier might not be equipped with a tail lift, in which case every customer has the right to disassemble the pallet and remove the units one by one, keeping their wooden frames for safety reasons.

🔧 Skylights.co.uk is not liable for any damages caused during unloading. It is the customer’s responsibility to arrange sufficient help for unloading on site.

Missed Delivery Protocol

If no one is available to receive the delivery, our driver will attempt to contact you via phone, text, and voicemail.

If we are unable to make contact, the delivery will be returned to our warehouse and a new delivery will need to be arranged.

      Exchange or Return of Goods

      A 25% restocking fee will be charged on all returned merchandise, unless defective.
      Skylights1.com is not responsible for any labor costs, which occur as the result of the installation of wrong or defective parts. If your shipment arrives and appears damaged please inspect the package thoroughly and if the contents appear damaged please refuse the shipment. We will do everything we can to have a new order rushed out to you. Return ship fees are the responsibility of the customer. Refunds for returned items are processed within 10 working days.

      Before placing an order, please make sure that you have chosen the correct unit size and have consulted your roofer in advance. If you have purchased the wrong size(s), we will have to cancel and refund the whole order. In this case we will deduct up to 5% transaction fee and in the cases when we have already sent your order, we will also deduct the return shipping fees. Please keep in mind that refunds are processed within 10 working days after units are returned to our warehouse.

      The following items may be returned for a refund within 15 days of purchase:

      • Merchandise that has not been removed from its original packing.
      • Defective merchandise.
      • Merchandise that was mispacked or was not shipped correctly.
      • Merchandise that has not been installed.

      More Than a Conventional Roof Hatch

      A traditional solid access hatch provides roof access but blocks daylight when closed.

      This glazed alternative allows light into the room below, creating a brighter interior while retaining the practical benefits of a wide-opening roof hatch.

      When opened, the rooflight also provides ventilation, helping warm air escape naturally.

      The opening panel is operated by heavy-duty 24V DC electric actuators.

      A remote control and programmable wall-mounted panel allow the rooflight to be opened and closed from inside the property.

      Triple Glazing Designed for Comfort

      A protective ceramic border and structural silicone bonding contribute to long-term glazing durability.

      Thermally Broken Aluminium Frame

      The fully thermally broken aluminium construction helps reduce unwanted heat transfer and condensation risk.

      Its powder-coated finish is designed for external exposure, while welded components contribute to a strong and durable frame.

      Built-In Pitch for Effective Drainage

      The rooflight includes an integrated upstand with a 5° pitch.

      This built-in slope encourages rainwater to drain from the glass surface and supports effective water run-off when the unit is installed correctly.

      It is suitable for flat roofs with pitches from 0° to 10°.
