Delivery Timeframes

  • Standard orders are delivered within 3–6 working days, unless the item is on back-order.

Once your payment has been received, we will contact you directly to arrange a suitable delivery time.

Important Notice Before Delivery

Please do not book cranes, equipment, or labour until your delivery date is confirmed, as we cannot take responsibility for any scheduling conflicts.

Deliveries Within the London M25 Area

  • All deliveries in the London M25 area are handled directly by our in-house delivery team to ensure the safe and secure arrival of your products.

  • As our drivers work solo and vehicles are pre-loaded at our warehouse, we ask that you or your builders be present onsite to assist with unloading.

Deliveries Outside the M25

  • For addresses outside the M25, we work with a trusted external courier network.

  • Once dispatched, the courier will contact you to schedule a delivery time.

Delivery Schedule

Deliveries are made:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

  • In rare cases, delivery may be delayed due to traffic up to 8:00 p.m.

While we can provide a 1–2 hour notice on the day of delivery, we unfortunately cannot guarantee an exact delivery time or specific timeslot.

Shipping Restrictions & Notes

  • Extra Economy Shipping is available across the UK excluding Northern Ireland and Scotland.

  • In some rare cases, if couriers do not have suitable vehicles to access your property, you may be asked to collect your order from a local depot (usually within a 20-minute drive).

Product Weight & Unloading Responsibility

Our products are heavy, ranging from 10kg to 280kg. Depending on your order, 2, 4, or even 6 people may be required to unload or handball safely.

In some cases the vehicle of the courier might not be equipped with a tail lift, in which case every customer has the right to disassemble the pallet and remove the units one by one, keeping their wooden frames for safety reasons.

🔧 Skylights.co.uk is not liable for any damages caused during unloading. It is the customer’s responsibility to arrange sufficient help for unloading on site.

Missed Delivery Protocol

If no one is available to receive the delivery, our driver will attempt to contact you via phone, text, and voicemail.

If we are unable to make contact, the delivery will be returned to our warehouse and a new delivery will need to be arranged.

      Exchange or Return of Goods

      A 25% restocking fee will be charged on all returned merchandise, unless defective.
      Skylights1.com is not responsible for any labor costs, which occur as the result of the installation of wrong or defective parts. If your shipment arrives and appears damaged please inspect the package thoroughly and if the contents appear damaged please refuse the shipment. We will do everything we can to have a new order rushed out to you. Return ship fees are the responsibility of the customer. Refunds for returned items are processed within 10 working days.

      Before placing an order, please make sure that you have chosen the correct unit size and have consulted your roofer in advance. If you have purchased the wrong size(s), we will have to cancel and refund the whole order. In this case we will deduct up to 5% transaction fee and in the cases when we have already sent your order, we will also deduct the return shipping fees. Please keep in mind that refunds are processed within 10 working days after units are returned to our warehouse.

      The following items may be returned for a refund within 15 days of purchase:

      • Merchandise that has not been removed from its original packing.
      • Defective merchandise.
      • Merchandise that was mispacked or was not shipped correctly.
      • Merchandise that has not been installed.

      The rooflight uses heavy-duty 24V DC electric actuators to raise the glazed panel.

      A remote control and programmable wall-mounted panel allow convenient operation from inside the property.

      Non-metallic warm-edge spacers improve insulation around the glazing perimeter, while structural silicone bonding and a ceramic border contribute to durability.

      Thermally Broken Aluminium Construction

      A fully thermally broken aluminium frame helps limit heat transfer and reduce condensation risk.

      The powder-coated finish provides durability and weather resistance, while welded aluminium components support structural strength.

      Integrated Upstand with 5° Pitch

      The rooflight features a built-in upstand with a 5° pitch, designed to encourage rainwater run-off from the glazed surface.

      The unit is suitable for flat roofs with pitches between 0° and 10°, subject to correct installation and waterproofing.
